Acai product background check

Jun 24

Power Supplements, LLC released some interesting acai information this past April. I’ll get straight to the point.

“New York, NY (PRWEB) April 3, 2008 — Power Supplements has completed a review of the Acai berry products on the market and discovered a number of disturbing trends. Among the most disturbing issues were the numerous “Pure Acai” products that were found to actually contain crushed seeds, malodextrin and other ingredients.

The Acai berry has gained international recognition as one of the highest antioxidant fruits in the world. Dr. Perricone named the Acai berry as the #1 Superfood on the Oprah Winfrey show. Acai has been featured on the Today Shows CBS Early Show, Wall Street Jounal and the New York Times. In addition to the incredible antioxidant levels in the Acai berry, the Acai berry is rich in anthocyanins, fiber, healthy omega fats, amino acids, protein, plant sterols, vitamins and minerals.

The Power Supplements study concludes that the best way to shop for Acai products is to study the label and ask the manufacturer questions. Acai supplements that are freeze dried, organic, made only from skin and pulp (no Acai seeds), contain no other ingredients and clearly state the amount of Acai per serving are you best bet. “Customers should not be afraid to pick up the phone and call the manufacturer and asks questions,” said Dan Nessel. “If a company does not want to tell you exactly what is in their Acai product – that is a good sign to move on to another company that is more open and honest.” states Nessel.”

I can see this being very true. MonaVie, while being an MLM, stresses the importance of how acai is harvested and used in products. With the rush of companies trying to incorporate acai into their product lineup, you can almost guarantee a few will cut corners.
